Everything to Know About FBI: Most Wanted Season 6

Season 5 of FBI: Most Wanted showed us that it’s possible to track down the worst criminals east of the Mississippi and find love — although, it may be harder to keep it. The fifth season of the CBS procedural drama saw our favorite FBI agents hunting down notorious bad guys (and gals) while trying to balance their personal lives. Some did it very well — we had our first FBI wedding! — while others didn’t. Sadly, we also had our first FBI divorce.

Although the season finale didn’t leave us with any cliffhangers, fans are still eager to see everyone return for FBI: Most Wanted Season 6. The good news is CBS has announced a fall premiere date for the show. Here’s everything we know about the FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 release date, who is in Season 6, and where to watch FBI: Most Wanted.

FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 Latest News

According to Deadline, the series regulars of FBI: Most Wanted will have their guaranteed minimum episodes cut by two in Season 6. The same is true for its sister show FBI and the upcoming Season 7. This doesn’t necessarily mean fewer episodes overall, but it’s a way for the network to manage costs. So, don’t be surprised if a main character or two is missing in an episode or three.

CBS has yet to announce the exact episode count for FBI: Most Wanted Season 6, but it’s likely to return to its traditional 22 episodes. Season 5 was shortened to 13 episodes due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes.

FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 Release Date

FBI: Most Wanted will premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 9/8c on CBS. It will be available to stream on Paramount+ the following day. This premiere is part of “FBI night” on CBS, starting with FBI at 8/7c and ending with FBI: International at 10/9c.

“The All-FBI Tuesday is a powerful force to be reckoned with on our primetime schedule,” said Amy Reisenbach, President of CBS Entertainment, when the three series were renewed.

What Will FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 Be About?

As of now, CBS has not released an official trailer or details about the plot of FBI: Most Wanted Season 6. However, it’s safe to assume that the formula of catching a Most Wanted case and tracking down the criminal each week will continue. Beyond that, expect more developments in the personal lives of the agents.

In the Season 5 finale, Ray (Edwin Hodge) married his fiancée Cora (Caroline Harris). His new roles as husband and stepfather will likely shift his priorities at work. Remy (Dylan McDermott) brought Abby (Susan Misner), a lawyer he met on a case, as his date to Ray and Cora’s wedding, while Hana (Keisha Castle-Hughes) brought Ethan (Michael Raymond-James), an air marshal she met on a case. Season 6 will likely explore whether these budding romances will grow into more serious relationships.

Sheryll (Roxy Sternberg) faces a new chapter as she navigates life both personally and professionally after her wife filed for divorce. Nina (Shantel VanSanten) will continue to balance motherhood and her duties as an FBI agent, a storyline that promises to add more depth to her character.

Who Will Be in FBI: Most Wanted Season 6?

Since there were no character deaths in the Season 5 finale, it’s expected that the main cast will return for Season 6. However, given the high turnover in the show’s history, nothing is guaranteed. Until CBS confirms otherwise, here’s who we anticipate seeing:

  • Dylan McDermott as Remy Scott
  • Shantel VanSanten as Nina Chase
  • Roxy Sternberg as Sheryll Barnes
  • Keisha Castle-Hughes as Hana Gibson
  • Edwin Hodge as Raymond Cannon, Jr.

Has FBI: Most Wanted Been Renewed?

FBI: Most Wanted has not yet been renewed for a seventh season. However, the flagship show FBI was renewed for three seasons in April 2024, securing its place through the 2026-2027 TV season. This bodes well for the entire FBI franchise. Meanwhile, FBI: International is still waiting for news on its renewal.

Where Can I Watch FBI: Most Wanted?
